Hey, great to discover your blog! I'll look forward to following your travels. Is the town destroyed by the Germans which you are visiting called Oradour sur Glane? Well worth a visit. But so is just about everywhere! Bon voyage!!
So glad you’ve found the blogsite Alison though it pales into insignificance cf to yours!! Yes Oradour sur Glane – I have so many bits of paper with notes on lying around that I couldn’t quite put my hand on the bit I needed to find that name! The map and the detail on the calendar is a bit hit and miss – I really just put them together for the grandchildren to follow and then thought they could be fun on the blogsite – they probably don’t stand up to detailed and knowledgeable scrutiny!
I’ve referred to your blogsite many times for your information about Sth of France. I loved your bit about the hairdresser in Poitiers and wondered if I’d end up there myself but have since worked out that I’ll need a haircut before then and there’s a hairdresser in St Pardoux la Riviere where we settle in for a week. We are so very lucky; the friends who own the cottage we’re staying in there have written pages and pages of information about getting there and good stuff to do from there. I have my priority list made to put in the hat with that of the others we’re travelling with there.
Hope we do manage to get some pics and posts done!
This is an experiment to see if we can communicate. Margaret
